Lonesome Dove Lodge, Bar & Grill

The theme/decor is all about the book and movie. Almost weird, but not overdone. Large clean king bed room with large TV, a fridge and coffee for $80/night. The bar and restaurant have excellent food and service. I recommend highly.

Went to Lonesome Dove Lodge for a work luncheon and was blown away with how amazing everything was! I love the rustic atmosphere, the food was top notch! We got the dip trio which was outstanding, the empanadas were delicious and the nachos were enough to feed a family and delicious! I personally ordered the Rodeo Burger and it was phenomenal!!! To end it I had the homemade cookies with Blue Bell ice cream and it was sooooo ridiculously delicious!!!! The staff were amazing and allowed me to utilize a bedroom to make a Zoom Call for work! Seriously an amazing experience and totally worth the trip!!!!

Thanks for the great service and amazing food! We come up to Au Gres for a weekend from Flint and it was so nice to have such amazing food so close to where we were staying! The server and bar tender were so friendly and efficient, even with such a busy crowd.

This place is super cute! I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were decorated so cute and had amazing little touches. They had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Very spacious and cozy and so affordable! The restaurant and bar was also very good. We had a big family dinner there Saturday night and the food was great. They had live music as well. Would definitely stay again when I’m back in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Love be the location. We had a delicious dinner and the large, fun decorated room was very comfortable. I left my jacket in the dining room and the owner went above and beyond and offered to mail it to me.

We've only eaten here, and its fantastic! Most recently we ate here Dec 6th. The drinks are outstanding, and the food excellent. I had the special (pot roast). Beef cooked to perfection, could tell the mashed potatoes are homemade, the gravy was one of the best I've had at a restaurant. The portion was huge and could make another meal out of the leftovers. And I got extra gravy! Thanks Tabitha! She was great! My boyfriend had the burger and fries. Also excellent. Our go to place for a dinner out in Au Gres.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great dinner here! The lodge has such a cozy rustic atmosphere with beautiful log beams, antler chandeliers, and a welcoming firepit area outside with comfortable glider benches. The lobby feels like a true cabin getaway with a stone fireplace, leather seating, and Western-style décor. The food is great! Ribeye was a proper steak dinner, the fried perch was great and the pizza is a solid choice! Overall, it’s the perfect mix of comfort and character. If you enjoy a warm, Western lodge vibe, this place is definitely worth it!

Sat at the bar here on Friday night. Manny the bartender was so personable and made me the perfect martini! He took great care of me and went out of his way to introduce me to the menu and recommended a few favorite dishes, including explaining the extensive gluten free options! Overall, would highly recommend this place for drinks, food, and great service!
